How to get to Berlin from Berlin Airport

Berlin Airport to the City Centre

Berlin has two major airports: Tegel and Schoenefeld. Both are 30 minutes from the centre.

When you arrive at Berlin airport, you have a choice of transport to get in to the centre.

The most conveneient is the bus, however, there is also a regular train and if you are feeling wealthy an excellent taxi service.

Berlin will delight you with its blend of architecture, culture and nightlife.

Train - The Airport-Express departs from the airport every half hour. It travels through Berlin Zoologischer Garten via Berlin Alexanader Platz. There is also an efficient S Bahn (city train) every 10 minutes from the station Flughafen Berlin Schoenefeld:

  • S9 to Berlin city centre via OStkreuz
  • S45 with a connection to the Ring Bahn (S41/42), which takes you around Berlin city centre.

    Car Hire There are several car hire firms on offer, but if you are flying with Easyjet, why not try Europcar as you will recive a special discount. Alternatively try Holidayautos for an excellent deal.

    Bus - Bus 171 takes you to the underground station Rudow (U7). The 163 goes to Altglienicke via S Bahn Gruenau (S8/46). Bus 160 goes to Schoenefeld train station. From Flughafen Schoenefeld train station, there is a free shuttle service from the airport to the train station, which takes less than wo minutes. All buses run every ten minutes.
